Get excited as the most dangerous villains in London are about to unravel their cunning plans! Meet Lil, Sophie and Billy who work in a new department store and read how they encounter on a journey of a lifetime as they try to stop the criminals.
The book is set in the Edwardian times when department stores are just opening. The Sinclair’s Department store, an elegant shop for the upper class residents of London full of exquisite objects, is having a grand opening. This glorious beginning will all end up tragically. Intriguing…?
When chaos strikes and a very precious ornament is stolen from under the shop owner’s nose Lil and Sophie step in and try to figure out who is behind all of this.
My favourite character is Miss Lillian Rose. She is full of life, cheerful, mouthy and a window model. Paired with Sophie they make a great team, ready to solve any mystery in the world!
Exciting and exhilarating, this is a book which will never fail to impress you. It’s full of action and you will never stop flicking those pages. This is a fantastic book, imaginatively plotted, masterfully written!!! It is a brilliant book for children between 8-12, which I rate 10 out of 10. I assure you, you will love it and will keep reading till midnight.
