Lauren is 16 and is just getting used to her new life, a world away from the tragic events that occurred 2 years ago in the book, "Girl, Missing". The kidnapping, lies, murder attempts and utter hell Lauren had to get through, but life isn't getting any easier for her. With exam pressure and and the death of Sam, her mum took her, Shelby and Madison (her sisters) on a little holiday in hope that spending time will help. But something catastrophic  happened.

Lauren and 8 year old Madison went down to the beach as the sun beamed down on them and they trotted alone further down to the sea. It was a lovely day and thus, the beach was buzzing with people, sunbathing, swimming, surfing and devouring their ice-creams. Madison took out her dolls and played with them in the golden sand, savouring every moment away from their chaotic home. She was longing an ice-cream and asked Lauren if she could buy one herself. Lauren could see the ice-cream van from here, just a few metres up from were they were sitting. So she let her go. But there was a distraction, a beautiful boy who spoke to her about someone. When he left, she looked around to ring Maddie, but she was nowhere to be seen. Her heart was in agony, she would have returned by now. She asked around, old ladies, the ice-cream vendor himself but nobody knew where she went. Tears were welling up in her eyes, how could she tell her mum? But then her phone buzzed. Lauren reached into her straw bag and unlocked her phone. the message read 'Stop looking on the beach. Your sister isn't there. Do NOT contact the police or I will kill her. Go home and wait' Shock didn't even begin to describe how Lauren felt. She knew what kidnapping was like, and Madison was just an innocent girl, not knowing how dangerous the real world is.

Lauren receives more text messages, a ransom is ordered, secrets about her family revealed. Read more to find out the true story in the new bestseller, Sister Missing. I give this book 5 stars and rate in for children aged 10-14.
